  1. I’ve been stalking that Kate Davies pattern collection for a minute. Another podcaster got me interested in this Brooklyn Raglan https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/brooklyn-raglan. I’m on sleeve island on my Birkin and want to participate in Yarniacs’ self indulgent KAL. Thinking about learning to double knit too make this cowl https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/love-actually-is-all-around for Valentines Day. Plus you make me want to “bang out a sweater” in February. I also have yarn to make a vest but not sure of the pattern yet. Phew! Maybe I’ll just settle on a hat!

    • Thanks for the sweater rec – I really like those textured sleeves. I’m doing my swatch tomorrow (no, really!), so I think the gauge I have will be the determining factor. I’m feeling sweater-lazy since I’m not knit-lazy on the smaller stuff 🙂 I’m halfway through the first Sarkin mitt now, and it’s sooooo potato-chippy! Lots of “just one more row” going on. And I’m trying to contemplate why double knit makes my brain hurt, but brioche makes my brain zing happy? In any case, let me know if you actually do it. I’m waiting to see what modern daily knitting picks for their bang out a sweater this February. But even though it took me 9 months to do the last one :), I sort of want to try again.
